David Turner

Title IX Investigator

David E. Turner is a Title IX / Fact-Finding Investigator at Grand River Solutions. David has over a decade of experience working in higher education at private, public, two-year, and four-year institutions. His Title IX experience includes serving as the Title IX Investigator for the Office of Student Conduct at Tulane University. During that time, David conducted Title IX investigations which included investigations of sexual harassment, gender-related violence, stalking and intimate partner violence, protected class discrimination, and related retaliation. David created and facilitated training and presentations to students and student groups regarding the University’s nondiscrimination policies and best practices in the complaint resolution process.

David also served as the Assistant Director of Conflict Resolution and Student Conduct at The University of Mississippi, supervising the student conduct process, and assisting the Title IX Coordinator with investigations and the Title IX hearing process. In addition to his investigative work in higher education, David conducted investigations in the non-profit sector. As an Investigator with the U.S. Center for SafeSport, he conducted investigations into allegations of sexual, physical, and emotional misconduct and abuse in the Olympic and Paralympic movement.

David received his Master of Arts degree in Higher Education Administration from Louisiana State University and his Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from The University of Southern Mississippi.
