Digital Accessibility Series

Choose from three sessions in this introductory series developed for professionals wishing to learn the essentials of digital accessibility compliance under Title II and Title III of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.

The Data: according to the Social Security Administration, one in four Americans will become disabled before reaching age 67 and NIH estimates the size of the accommodation-sensitive population to be nearly 23 percent of all working adults.

Business and educational institutions are becoming keenly aware of the need to make their digital resources readily accessible to all community members who desire or need access. Existing and forthcoming regulations require that digital resources including websites, documents, and mobile applications meet WCAG standards. This three-workshop series is designed to help you understand the compliance requirements, learn the skills to meet them, and gain the knowledge to be an informed collaborator or supervisor of internal or contracted accessibility services.  Take a single training or complete the series for full overview of the digital accessibility landscape and best practices.
