Camie C. Pratt serves in Title IX Coordinator Services team at Grand River Solutions with over 18 years of experience as a civil rights executive. She has a proven track record of building and leading multi-million dollar compliance programs in large PreK-12 and higher education institutions. Her expertise includes student and employee conduct, civil rights investigations, hearings, informal resolutions, training, prevention, policy development, public board reporting, resolving matters with federal agencies, and providing expert testimony in employee disciplinary hearings.
Before joining Grand River Solutions, Camie served as the Chief Title IX Officer at Chicago Public Schools, where she established and managed a pioneering PreK-12 comprehensive civil rights department. In this role, she led the Office of Student Protections and Title IX and the Equal Opportunity Compliance Office, overseeing compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including Title VI, Title VII, and Title IX, for the nation’s fourth-largest school district, which serves over 300,000 students and employs 40,000 staff members. Her teams also handled cases of corporal punishment and physical abuse.
Prior to this, Camie was the Vice President and Title IX Coordinator at the University of Phoenix, where she ensured the university’s compliance with federal laws, including Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). She also managed student and employee misconduct, handled disciplinary matters, and addressed complaints related to federal financial aid laws.
Camie received her Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maryland.
